Who you’ll walk with
Licensed guides from the mountain regions, porters who know every lodge on the trail, and a small office team in Kathmandu who look after you from the first message to the airport.
Our guides are government-licensed trekking guides who grew up in Nepal’s hills and mountains. Many have guided the same routes for years and know the lodge owners, the shortcuts, the weather patterns and the warning signs of altitude sickness. Trekkers mention them by name in their reviews — Bishnu more than anyone.
Every guide is trained in first aid and speaks English; some also speak other languages. Ask us if you need a guide who speaks your language.
Porters carry your main bag so you can enjoy the trail with a light daypack. We pay fair wages, provide insurance and proper equipment, and keep loads within responsible limits.
Our office team plans your itinerary, arranges permits and flights, meets you at the airport and stays in touch with your guide throughout the trek. If anything changes — weather, flights, health — they handle it so you don’t have to.
Our guides are licensed, first-aid trained and grew up in Nepal’s hills. Trekkers mention them by name in their reviews — that is the standard we hold ourselves to.
In their words
We did a trekking tour to Chisapani with Bishnu our guide. He is a very experienced guide, we felt safe and comfortable. We had a great view of the mountains. Bishnu has everything planned for us and we can only recommend him.
Bishnu is one of a kind guide. A great knowledge of the Annapurnas, it is such a pleasure to be guided by him, he is just amazing, kind and brilliant. Just looking forward to go again with him. Highly recommend.
My wife and I recently did the Annapurna Circuit, with Bishnu as our guide. We had a fantastic time. Bishnu took care of us at every stage, from greeting us at the airport to arranging our permits and transport. On the trail he was confident, courteous and highly knowledgeable. His liaison with local hotels ensured that we had the best rooms available. We especially loved how he took us to some of the lesser-known hotels, bringing well needed income to local Nepali families, without compromising on our experience. On the toughest parts of the trail he was supportive and encouraging, whilst giving us the space we needed to set our own pace. This is our third trek with Zeal Nepal Trek & Expedition, and we’re delighted to be a returning customer. We simply wouldn’t trek with another Company. Perfect in all respects.
